Sprezzatura
Sprezzatura combines Italian ideas with Irish produce to create the freshest and tastiest pasta dishes in Dublin. With sustainability at it's core and no pasta dish costing more that 10 euro, Sprezzatura is the perfect Italian restaurant for the eco-conceous student on a budget.
A large part of their mission is to use and promote Irish suppliers and produce. And they have done just that. Their list of suppliers ranges from Winelab, Ireland's disruptive wine on tap vendor utilizing a keg recycling system, to Toons Bridge Diary, utilizing local farmers from cork to create delicious cheeses. Sprezzatura aligns with our Society's mission in creating a more environmentally friendly lifestyle by utilizing quality Irish produce as a more sustainable option and aiming to reduce their impact, by reducing waste and harmful practices. Bujo
While burgers are not usually the most sustainable option because of the impact beef processing has on our environment, we felt it necessary to provide an eco-friendly restaurant alternative to burger venues who don't use sustainable practices. Bujo sources from Bord Bia ‘Quality Assured’ Irish family farms and are committed to high levels of community stewardship. Additionally, they use renewable energy; compostable, reusable or recyclable packaging; and are the only burger restaurant in Ireland & the UK to achieve a 3 Star rating from the Sustainable Restaurant Association.

Bujo offers takeaway options as well as at home burger kits! No matter what you chose, these burgers are delicious! Check out their website here!
As One
As One is located on City Quay and serves up delicious, well-sourced, freshly prepared food. It is both a restaurant and a cafe, with a menu that is designed specifically to enhance your well-being, especially gut health. They have the best ethically sourced local suppliers from all over Ireland! Owner Mark Cashen says, "I truly think that we can all embrace the changes needed to move towards a cleaner environment, even simple things on a daily basis can make a big difference as a collective”. We completely agree with Mark's sentiments and love As One's ethos.

They are moving to be as close towards a zero waste policy as possible and have created all their packaging to be fully compostable. With absolutely fantastic breakfast and lunch options and a mission that can't be beat, why not try As One in between classes! Learn more about As One here!
The Carrots Tail
Possibly the most sustainable restaurant in Dublin, The Carrots Tail is located in Rathmines and is 100% plant based and zero-waste! All menu items are vegan with gluten free options as well. The food here is so tasty, you will enjoy this place even if you aren't a vegan yourself! They also have a great Zero Waste Retail shop! If you live in Halls or near to Rathmines, give this place a chance!

Last but certainly not least, The Fumbally Cafe. Located in Dublin 8, this cafe grocer hybrid is doing their best for the planet! The Fumbally donates its used coffee grinds to a community garden in Kilmainham and has fully biodegradable packaging!
