Sourcing your takeaway environmentally friendly

At these times of uncertainty with more and more restaurants closing, we have one choice left to enjoy a fairly good meal at our favourite restaurant, take away or delivery. Today, we want to give you our advice on how to get takeaway or delivery more responsibly.

- Don’t order utensils

Even when they’re environmentally sourced, they utensils will leave some impact on the environment. At the current state where the only place to enjoy your hot meal is at the comfort of your own home, you will have access to cutlery which I can personally promise you are going to be better than those one time used ones.

- Try using takeaway instead of delivery

Here in Dublin, you may find many restaurants around the area where you are living, especially if you are living near the city centre. Having someone deliver your food with a Moped or their car is really not good for the environment and makes you pay that extra €. Switching to take away not only eliminates this extra cost but also helps keep the environment more healthy and keep CO2 emissions down.

- Find out the best environmentally friendly restaurants

We’ve done an amazing blog on different environmentally-friendly restaurants in Dublin. Make sure to check it out. It's full of wonderful tips on the best eco restaurants. Getting takeaway from those restaurants right now means more than ever.
